The Tristan Suite at Skeldale House

Clean & comfortable, but really not for canines. Positive: It was clean and comfortable and warm. It had facilities in the small kitchen area. There was a view over the roof tops to the fields beyond. We were on the top floor, Tristan suite. Bathroom had no vents but the bath was huge. We never used it, I kept wondering how much water it would use. Negative: I believe we were in a studio, I thought it was an apartment for £850 per week. Especially when I looked on line and could have got a whole cottage in the same place for £650 with a garden for my dog. My fault entirely. There was a small table in the corner with 2 uncomfortable chairs with no lighting for my husband to read his paper & as the room was very dark as were the walls. Otherwise it was sitting on the bed to be more comfortable. Dog not allowed on the furniture which I was aware of before going, but I wont be able to do that again. When the staff were cleaning some of the other rooms, the clean sheets and towels were on the landing floor for me & my dog to step over and try not to step on.

Positive: Loved the cosy room and beautiful view. Lovely walk from village, through fields and ending at a waterfall. Nice bakery opposite. Parking easy enough. Had everything we needed. Negative: Going home.

Lovely location in Wensleydale. Positive: Great location and some nice design features. Comfortable bed and well appointed, small kitchen area. We stayed in the Tristan room. Negative: Bath and shower combo was a little awkward to get into due to height of bath.

Positive: Tolle Lage und sehr ruhig gelegen. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Negative: Etwas mehr Geschirr wäre hilfreich.

Most relaxing stay in Gods Own County Positive: Lovely base for exploring the Dales. Roomy enough for us both, comfy bed and excellent view from Tristan Suite. High quality appliances in kitchen and good bathroom products and very tastefully decorated Negative: Small points: perhaps a little more cutlery and bathrobes not provided as advertised
